Performance Poetry Competition 2023

We are delighted to have launched our performance poetry competition 2023 in assembly on Tuesday, 16th May. This was a great success last year and is great enrichment to our English curriculum as we continue to develop poetry across the school.

A PowerPoint with further details and support can be found on your child’s Google classroom page and on our website below. The competition will commence on Monday 5th June 2023 when your child will perform in front of their class. A class winner will then go through to the whole school final which will take place at the end of the same week at 2.30pm on Friday 9th June. Finalist's parents will be invited to attend.

We kindly ask that you support your child in choosing a poem. They will be asked to share their choice with their teacher next week on Tuesday 23rd May; information on the PowerPoint will help you with this.

The children will then have until the 5th June to get performance ready - top tips are also on the PowerPoint.
