This week has been a very busy week in year 5. In English, we have been writing our own description paragraph about our own fantasy animals. We had to make sure we included relative clauses, powerful vocab and fronted adverbials. In maths, we have been learning to add, subtract and multiply decimals by 10,100 and 1,000 - which has been very easy. 

In reading, we have started our new book called A day in the life of a….which is a fun cartoon comic book and not like the other books we have read! We have been exploring non-fiction texts too. 

We really enjoyed drawing our own animal life cycles in science on sea turtles, peppered moths and kangaroos. The best bit was using the chromebooks to research all the facts and information. In RE, we have been learning about courage in Christianity stories and how people show courage e.g. Daniel and the lion’s den (written by some children in 5M)
