Year 6 Weekly Highlights 10.6.22
This week has been fantastic for year 6 because we have started to rehearse our Aladdin show, and it is coming together nicely. We have split our production into 2 halves and this Friday, each act got to show the other half what they have accomplished. From singing to dancing, from acting to learning, this play has it all. Everyone has thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have had a bit of a laugh in the process. We have practised every morning except Tuesday when we went swimming. In doing so, we have built better strength to become more fast and agile when in water and the instructors have helped us improve our technique, but most importantly, everyone had fun. Whether it was swimming or rehearsing in the mornings, the afternoons have been jam packed with our new history topic, the Greeks. Studying myths, we aim to create a piece of writing including dialogue all about the event of the Trojan horse entering the city of Troy. We are looking forward to writing this piece and can’t wait to see what next week has in store. The final part to this week was all the classes taking part in national fieldwork week. We all listened to the sounds across the school to create a representation of the 'Soundtrack to HJS'.
