Year 6 Highlights 20.5.22
Year 6 have had another jam-packed week. The highlight for the week has to be yesterday afternoon because we started the audition process for our upcoming performance. The children learnt a dance from 'Chitty Chitty bang bang', sung 'A whole new world' from Aladdin and acted out a scene from Madagascar. All the teachers were blown away with their performance skills, our decision is definitely going to be a tricky one. We are pleased to say that our production this year is going to be Aladdin!
To add to this excitable week, the children also started their new English book - the ways of the wolf - and focused on the language and sentence structure of this wonderful non-fiction text. Treated to a story session this week, Mrs Thomas read David Walliams' newest book - it certainly went down as a hit. At start of the week we completed our kindness day activities, looking out how we treat resources and ensuring we use every last piece. The children were set the challenge of making a Greek mask using 1 sheet of card and every single part of it - no waste. They looked incredible at the end!
