Year 6 Highlights 29.4.22
This week in Year 6 we have done a variety of work such as SAT’s papers and reading the wolf brother book. On Monday, we went on a trip to the sea city museum in Southampton to learn about the Titanic tragic story. We thoroughly enjoyed the day exploring the museum and learnt a lot! The next day, we learnt about ratio in maths and read some more of the wolf brother book. Following on, a SAT’s test was completed by the children. Wednesday, we began to write a balanced argument on who is to blame for the loss of life from the Titanic. On Thursday, we completed a set of fact retrieval questions and word meaning questions in guided reading. During our maths lesson we learnt about enlarging and decreasing shapes and amounts by scale factors. This week has been fun, and we can’t wait for the next one. (Josh and George)
An additional huge well done to Adam, Henry, Josh and Jamie for their kindness shown to raise money for the Ukrainian Relief Fund. We are very proud of you boys! Best of luck with your cycle challenge.
