Year 3 Weekly Highlights 12.7.24
This week has seen another successful transition morning for Year 3 as they begin to think about their next chapter in Year 4!
In English, we have begun our final writing unit on Poetry inspired by poet Roger McGough. We have begun to explore the structure of his poem and his language choices to use them as a model for our own poetry!
In Maths, we have also embarked on our last unit of statistics, where we are exploring pictograms, interpreting graphs and representing data.
In PE, it has been great to continue to develop friendships and our school value of working together across the cohort in preparation for new classes in September through our rounders matches! There has been great sportsmanship across the year group games.
We hope you safely receive your child’s report today. There will be an informal opportunity to pop in and see your child’s learning from this year in their classrooms after school on Monday 15th July.
As the summer holidays creep closer, please could we ask that all library books are returned on Monday 15th July. Please can we also ask that all children bring in a bag on Thursday 18th July to bring any finished books home. Your child’s current books will move with them into Year 4 and will come home once they are complete so we don’t waste any paper!
