Year 5 Liddington Residential Highlights
9th May
We have had another fabulous day. The sun has been shining and really does feel like a holiday☀️ We have had very excitable children today doing new activities: zipwire, crate stack, survivor, problem solving and sensory trail. The teachers enjoyed the sensory trail tricking the children to what was there. The children have been amazing today and are very much looking forward to the final activities of areoball, zipwire and trapeze.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow

Children’s’ highlights:
Ethan - I have loved being on the giant swing because I loved the adrenaline rush! I went as high as possible, it was great!
Ben - Today has been really fun, my favourite part has to be the swing because it was so thrilling and fun! It is scary but if you try it is really fun. The meals are fun!
Jude - I had a lovely day, canoeing was favourite because we got to jump in at the end.
Sophia - I have enjoyed all of the activities. The food has been amazing. My favourite was convening as I learnt how to paddle.
Han - The instructors have been so fun! The vertical challenge was great they encouraged me to go higher and I did.
Penny - My group teacher has been fab, they’re sooooo good here!
Sofia - This trip has been the best. I have overcome my fear of heights.

Moaaz - it was amazing and I have loved today. There has been so many to do. My favourite has been the vertical challenge because I overcame my fear of heights
Amarya- the activities have been amazing and the instructors have been fun and funny. The swing was my favourite because I go to go high!!
Thea - I enjoyed the canoe today because I liked all the goldfish in the lake that I could see and I enjoyed jumping in at end because it was a sunny day
Emma - I enjoyed vertical challenge because it was so fun to go up the different obstacles and then come down on harness
Maximos - The food was really nice and get so much choice! My favourite activity today has even vertical challenge because I could overcome fear of heights and do lots of different climbing things: ladder, rope, tyres and wall.
Alfie- Canoeing was my favourite today because it was so much fun to do a water activity and then get to go in.
Mr Achilles, Mrs Tombleson and Mrs Henson has said that today has been a day full overcoming challenges and fears. The team work and resilience has been outstanding and we're so proud of them. Doing such a range of height challenges has meant they've had to really persevere and work together to support one another to do their absolute best. To add to that, the food had been amazing and definitely going down a treat with the year group!! Don't they expected so much choice and food across the day - they've been spoilt!
8th May (am)
Good morning everyone, we had a successful night's sleep (everyone slept!!!) and we're all ready and raring to go for a lovely breakfast and a full day of activities. Today's activities will range from canoeing, giant swing, climbing and more, so look out for our photos later this evening!
Last night, we had a campfire as the sun set. This was filled with songs and even a toasted marshmallow.
We look forward to what's to come today ☀️
