Year 6 Weekly Highlights 8.3.24
This week, we have enjoyed countless activities linked to books and reading your way. On World Book Day, we enjoyed a footy book quiz led by Kit Brown. We had an opportunity to design a new library layout, which may be considered as our building work progresses. During the day, we enjoyed spending time sharing books with the infants or other year groups in school. In the afternoon, we let our creativity reign, by making lanterns linked to our Year 6 texts.
To end of the week, we have been in touch with our emotions and let the love flow by writing a love letter to Bess from Tim making her aware of the misdemeanours of the Highwayman.
Can we extend a warm thank you to the parents who took time from their busy work schedule to join us and their children in an engaging discussion about heritage texts. Perhaps this weekend, you could delve into some heritage that you read as a child and share them with your Year 6 - remember they only have to be 30yr old text.
Have a great weekend.
