Year 3 Weekly Highlights 8.3.24
Year 3 had the most amazing start to the week with so many of our Year 3 families joining us for our reading lesson on Monday. Thank you for joining us for our reading event, we all thoroughly enjoyed you being with us and it made a very special start to our World Book Week celebrations! We can’t wait to welcome you back into class soon!
In Geography, we continued our learning on the Ivory Coast as a chocolate producing country. This week, we explored the process of making chocolate and how it reaches us here in the UK! Remember to ask your child if we import or export chocolate!
We are continuing to explore Fractions in maths, with a focus on using bar models to communicate our ideas and explain our thoughts. Please continue to practise fractions in real life contexts at home and don’t forget those all important times tables on TTRS as this helps to create our groups in our fractions learning.
Wow! What an incredible World Book Day we had in Year 3! Thank you so much for all the support at home with outfits and the toilet roll characters - they blew us away with their creativity!
We hope you have a lovely weekend,
The Year 3 team
