Well doesn't half term feel like ages ago now! What a busy week in Y5 starting our new topics. We introduced the children to the idea of community during our RE morning looking at the 5 pillars of Islam. For English, we introduced the children to a majestic plastic bag, our topic hook for English. This mockumentary told the children how amazing a plastic bag is but in reality, it's not for our planet. Our new topic is about plastic pollution and we're going to be writing a persuasive and informative article to inform people of the effects. 
My personal highlight has been art, because we got to start our final pieces from before the holidays. These pieces have been a respresentation of the childrens' local areas in the style of Andy Council. I will be sharing these with artist in the hope he replies.
