Year 3 have settled back into school after the Christmas holidays brilliantly! It has a pleasure to hear about all the adventures and memories they have made over the break and refreshed for this new term.

This week has seen the launch of our new Reading unit, Interview with a Panda and we are all really looking forward to our workshop, on Monday, with the author Andy Seed. We have enjoyed getting to know who Giant Pandas are through the interview style. If you would like to buy one of Andy's books and get it signed by him, please remember to bring in your slip and money on Monday as per our previous parentmail.

In writing, we have also begun our new unit on Greta and the Giants. We have all been blown away with the children's description and use of pronouns to describe the humans. We even had a go at creating our own similes! 

In PE this week, we have started our new gymnastics unit on balance. During the lesson, we recapped our 5 basic shapes and individual balances. We look forward to developing our balances into partner sequences.
