Year 3 Weekly Highlights 13.10.23
As another week passes there is lots to celebrate in Year 3!
This week we have really refined our character writing and all created our own apology little to the third little pig from the wolf’s point of view. We were blown away with the children’s writing and loved their use of language from our book and some of the wolf’s best phrases!
Monday saw the start of our final book of our fairy tale unit - The Little Wooden Robot and the Log Princess. We had to piece together our predictions using a range of clues and all made great links to other fairy tales too.
Tuesday was framed around Mental Health awareness. We all took time across the day to reflect on the importance of this and how we can all help each other. Across the week our Wellbeing ambassadors have been keeping an eye out for kindness as part of our kindness challenge. We have been collecting stars in each class and celebrating acts of kindness. We have also challenged the children to extend this beyond school.
On Monday next week, we have our library slot with Mrs Thomas - please remember to bring in library books so we can get them changed ahead of half term!
We also have our new spelling books on their way home tonight, so please keep your eyes out for those!
We hope you all have a great weekend and look forward to meeting with you during parent’s evening next week.
