Year 6 Weekly Highlights 23.6.23
This week we've had another hot and busy week in year 6. Naturally, the rehearsals for High School Musical have taken centre stage across the week as we count down to the final performances in just a matter of weeks. The children have continued to listen to our feedback and thrown themselves into each and every scene.
Earlier this morning, all of year 6 went into lunch slightly fuller than usual after their bread tasting session - part of our DT unit. Very soon they will be making their own Mediterranean-inspired bread in school. We had some very 'interesting' combinations of flavours being trialled in each of the three classes this morning - you'll have to ask your children what their favourite was. I don't think any of us will be buying basil and banana-flavoured bread anytime soon!
On Tuesday this week, we had our fifth and penultimate swimming session at Places Leisure - next week is the final swimming session. Also this week we have continued to read Wolf Brother and explore how the author has created certain atmospheres in the story.
Have a brilliant weekend.
