Year 6 Weekly Highlights 17.3.23
Year 6 has been great this week:
In Science, we have been learning about how exercise affects our pulse rate. We did an experiment to find out what walking does to our heartbeat. We walked around the astro/playground, taking our pulse rate every few laps to see how it changes.
In Maths, we have been learning how to multiply fractions by whole numbers, fractions multiplied by fractions and fractions divided by whole numbers.
In English, we are writing a love letter from us [Tim] to Bess. We are angry about The Highwayman stealing our true love.
In Reading, we have been searching the text for facts and opinions in the book we are currently reading: Everest. We have also been working on reading fluently with expression.
In Art, we have been learning about the layers in a piece of artwork. Our unit this half term is to use painting techniques to create Nepalese landscapes.
