Year 3 Weekly Highlights 3.3.23
We have had a wonderful week in year 3 - topped off with celebrations for world book day today. The children have all made such an effort so a huge thank you for all your help with this.
In English this week, we have been writing as a pair to create our own stories about how animals got their well known features. There have been some lovely examples, and we have included some pictures below.
In maths, we are coming to the end of our work on fractions. We have been thinking about how the visual representation of parts can be different. We have included some examples of our apply your mind below.
In Geography, we have been exploring and describing the continent of Africa and in our new PDL unit we have been exploring the concept of equality.
We are working on our skills of throwing and catching in games and will be able to apply these within cricket. In PE we have also encouraged children to find their own solutions to problems, listen to everyone’s ideas and suggestions, use good lifting and handling techniques by creating and working through creating and playing games. It is really important that the children take part in these activities and bring the required kit into school. We would really appreciate it if you could check that your child/children have the relevant kit please.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
