Year 6 Weekly Highlights 10.2.23
In maths this week, we’ve started on coordinates on a grid. We’ve also started drawing shapes using coordinates.
In English, we started a piece of writing about conserving the dragon, based on the last few pages of ‘Ways of the Wolf’. To achieve our final result, we used fronted adverbials and emotive language to persuade the reader to conserve the dragon.
During history, we continued on our topic World War 2 and wrote an information poster on everything we’ve learnt this term.
On Thursday, we had a music day. We learnt about using musical terms to describe songs (we looked at songs by Glenn Miller). We even learnt to beatbox and learnt a song which we performed later in the day.
On Friday, we are all very excited for our ‘make the rules' day’. On this day, we are allowed to make the rules for the day!
