Year 3 Weekly Highlights 3.2.23
We loved starting our week going to the Art Gallery. A huge thank you if you came with us too! We know how much the children loved it - especially making their clay heads. We think you will all agree, they look incredible.
In English, the children have shown off their writing skills by writing a reply as Duncan. We are seeing the progress that the children are making towards their targets and in trying to 'show off' all that they had leaned. In reading we have been looking at poetic devices including rhyme, alliteration and similes. The children loved performing them to the class.
In Maths, we have continued to work length and permitter by adding lengths. We have had to reflect on our learning and remember to convert first! We have also made links between x and ÷ by 10 and 100.
On Wednesday we reflected on our DT tasting and made sure we were all happy with our ingredients ready for our salad this coming Wednesday. If you haven't already, please do let us know if you can join. It would be great to see as many of you there as possible. We ask that you come into school via they Y3 morning gate and will exit from the same by 3:10. Sadly, we cannot leave someone on the gate so please do make sure you arrive between 2:45 and 2:50. At which point we will have to lock the gate.
This afternoon 3BC have practised the song "Au clair de la lune". I was so impressed by their dedication to learning the notes. It was certainly tricky.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend
