Year 4 Weekly Highlights 20.1.23
Another busy week in Year 4 land.
In English we have started writing our recounts about an underwater dive. Next week, we have a zoom meeting planned with experts from the Natural History Museum in which we will be able to share our fantastic work.
In maths we are continuing with multiplication and division and have now spent some time looking at all the times tables up to 12 x 12. Following the letter we sent last week about the Multiplication Tables Check, many children have been telling us excitedly how they are making the tables facts on their heat maps change colour by spending some time on Times Tables Rock Stars. We will send out updated heat maps in due course so you can see your child's progress, but you can also check this at any time yourself by logging into your child's account. Please remember that to further help the children we will be sending out a practise sheet each week to be returned on Fridays.
The highlight of the week for many children was undoubtedly today's Inclusion Day. The children showed fantastic working together and ambition skills as they tackled all sorts of new challenges. We were very proud of them all!
Have a wonderful weekend.
The Year 4 team.
