Year 3 Weekly Highlights 09.12.22
We can't quite believe that we are coming towards the end of the Autumn term!
We have had some very mischievous elves across Year 3 this week - ask your child where they've been in their classroom!
In English, the children have written instructions for their own marvellous medicine, inspired by the book, George's Marvellous Medicine by Roald Dahl. We have seen so much creativity within the instructions and the ingredients that the children have chosen to include - this has been a real highlight this term!
In maths, we have continued our learning with our multiplication and division unit by looking at sharing and grouping, multiplying 3, dividing 3 and applying the 3 times table. The children now have the 3, 4 and 8 times tables set on Times Tables Rock Stars as well as the 2, 5 and 10 times tables. Thank you for your support in helping your child practise their times tables at home.
We also had some very exciting news this week - Tom Gauld, the writer and illustrator of our reading book 'The Little Wooden Robot and the Log Princess' responded to some book reviews that were shared with him on Twitter!
A true highlight this week has been creating our prehistoric pots as part of our Prehistoric Pottery unit in Art. The children thoroughly enjoyed creating their own pot and taking careful steps to ensure that their designs were perfected!
