Year 3 Weekly Highlights 2.2.22
It is December and that means a visit from Noel and Noelle!
Year 3 had a very special piece of post this week - the elves are back and ready to cause mischief across the year group. We wonder how many of you will be able to see what they are up to.
We are also working hard to spread kindness this Christmas. Miss Loosemore gave each class a tree and a gift tag for each child. We then paired the children up to write a message of kindness. We will take three tags off per day to read out and for the children to keep. We think this is a lovely idea and the children have really enjoyed it so far.
This week has been packed full of fantastic learning. We are continuing to work on multiplication in maths. We have been looking at multiples of 2, 5 and 10. The children have had to use their minds to apply the concepts that they have learned and we have been impressed.
In English, we have been look at the story "How to wash a Woolly Mammoth". We have been looking at how the author has used imperative verbs, nouns, pronouns and adverbs in their writing so that we can do the same next week.
In art, we have designed our prehistoric pottery ready to be made next week. We have continued our Stone age topic in History.
We are pleased to confirm that our issue with google classroom has been resolved. Thank you so much for baring with us during this time.
There are lots of important dates coming up so please do have a look on the school calender.
