What a busy week in Year 3 Land!
This week in English, we have started to look at the text 'Stone Age Boy'. The children started off the week by performing some drama by stepping into the shoes of the boy and his new friend, Om. As actors, the children were immersed into the different jobs that Stone Age people had. Ask your child what job they had!

In maths, we have finished our mental methods learning journey as part of our Addition and Subtraction unit. We have now started the written methods learning journey. The children have worked hard to ensure that their calculations are presented well when doing column addition. 

In art, we have started our brand new unit - Prehistoric Pottery. The children took a virtual tour of the Lascaux caves looking at a variety of cave paintings. They explored and experimented with different materials to create their own version. This built on the memorable experience that all children had whilst on the Hilliers trip last week!
