Year 4 Weekly Highlights 14.10.22
The excitement has continued in year 4 and not only with the return of the disco. In science, we learnt about the third state of matter - gases. Ask your child what happens when you drop raisins into lemonade. You could even try it yourself. It wasn't what the children expected! In English, the children are now ready to start writing their leaflets about Hocombe Mead, bringing together all their learning about simple and compound sentences and fronted adverbials. Maths has seen the completion of our place value unit during which the children have extended their understanding of number to include thousands, negative numbers and even Roman numerals. Our next topic is addition and subtraction.
Have a well deserved rest, children, and we'll see you on Monday.
