A highlight of this week has to be the children being immersed into our new science unit 'Magnets'. The children investigated which materials attracted a magnet and which materials did not attract a magnet. The teachers saw some excellent enquiry led learning by asking some super questions!

In maths this week, Year 3 have continued to develop their knowledge and understanding of Place Value. We have continued to develop our learning of three digit numbers and partitioning whilst using concrete materials. 

In English, the children have continued to look at the fable 'The Hare and the Tortoise'. The children focused writing about the thoughts and feelings of the Tortoise and the Hare.

In Reading, we are focusing on the skills, inference and fluency through a picture book by Shaun Tan.
