Barton Hall update 8.7.22
What a fantastic week we have all had! Children and staff have thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Barton Hall - everyone will definitely be sleeping well tonight. The children have been superstars all week, the centre saying that without doubt the best school on site, and we were the group that all the staff hoped to have each day. Well done Year 6 we're very proud of you!
Have a wonderful weekend - lots of photos have been added at the bottom

Barton Hall update 7.7.22
The excitement continues ….
- The food is still great – still lots of sausage ;-)
- Our new favourite and totally hair raising activity is the giant swing. It must be at least 8 Mrs Wrights tall and having to pull the release cord was definitely the scariest thing we have done.
- The problem solving activity this morning was just brilliant – we didn’t know what to expect but we got to solve riddles such as moving one stick to make a word, and stand on a sheet and turn it over without getting off it – we will tell you how we did it when we get home.
- Fencing though we think, has been almost everyone’s favourite – wait until you see the photos.
- Also, we are super excited about the disco tonight.
See you tomorrow – we will all be ready for a very long sleep!

Update 6.7.22
This is a really exciting trip so far with lots for us to talk about when we get home, but here are some of our highlights (not necessarily in ranked order):
- The PGL staff are great fun – totally amazing!
- The food is great – although lots of sausage! Mmmm what sausage surprise will we be having this evening?
- The dorms are fab – lots of space, comfortable and nicely spread out.
- Favourite activities so far include Jacob’s ladder and abseiling and despite the extreme heights, we have overcome many fears and obstacles.
- Swimming yesterday evening, in the outdoor heated pool, in the sunshine, over- looking the sea, was just dreamy.
- Spending our money at the shop!
The week is going by super quickly, the teachers say that our behaviour is exemplary, and we will see you all soon.

Year 6 settled into Barton Hall really well on Monday. After a good journey down, they had the opportunity to settle in and have their first activity of wacky races. We've then had a jam-packed day with activities from: abseiling, Jacob's ladder, trapeze, aqua-fun and problem solving.
Quotes from today:
'Amazing - that's all I have to say'
'Trapeze was terrifying but I did it and it was fun afterwards'
'I've never done trapeze before, it was sooooo much fun.'
Enjoy looking at some of the photos from today - we will add a few more pictures on later in the week (if the Wi-Fi holds out) and then add the majority when we return.
