Year 3 started the week by exploring the school garden area searching for something rather strange that Mr Gardiner the school site manager had found whilst checking the site on Monday morning. This was a delightful introduction to our new book that we are exploring in Guided Reading called 'The Boy Who Grew Dragons'. Whilst we share this book, we will revisit summarising skills and using a dictionary. 

In Maths next week, we are starting to explore the properties of 2D and 3D shape. Please continue to help support the children learning the time understanding analogue and digital, knowing what A.M. and P.M. means, the seasons and the months of the year. Please also continue to support your child with developing a rapid recall of their times tables.

We ended the week with practising for Sports Day and look forward to you joining us next Friday at 9am to watch the children participate in the carousel of actiivities.

Monday will be an exciting day for our Year 3's as they spend the day meeting their new Teacher for September.
