Year 5 Weekly Highlights 26.05.22
This week has been another fabulous week in school. In English, we have finished our Riddle of the Runes recounts and in Maths we have continued with our fractions learning. In Science we have been looking at the force of gravity and how it is affected by mass and in ART all classes have now finished their sculptures. The highlight of the week has to be our Jubilee day which was action-packed and full of royal fun!
We are sharing some of the children’s highlights with you:
Natasha K – We got to perform a dance to the parents and it was from the 1950s. I loved freestyling!
Chen – Hanging out with your friends and family on the field was definitely the best bit for me.
Noah – I loved making my flag and it was really fun to wave it in the procession.
Tasha – I am in School Council and we prepared an assembly to deliver to the whole school on the day. Everybody spoke their parts proudly.
Abi – I made a strawberry and cream shortbread cake and I am going to eat it all over the weekend!
Dylan – It has been an amazing afternoon and I have learnt so much about the Queen and the reigning monarch.
Aiden – The dance was amazing and the Year 5 team did a really good job!
Have a lovely half-term and well done for another great term of learning year 5!
