This week in year 5, we have had a good week learning about the Vikings in English and History. We learnt that they raided the innocent monks at Lindisfarne and took their treasures (goblets, crosses). In Art, we have been learning about sculptures and how we can use plastic to make a sea-creature (fish) sculpture. We enjoyed bringing in our own plastic and searching through it. We have been adding and subtracting fractions- mixed and improper. In rounder’s, we played a whole class game, which was competitive. Our favourite part of the week has been our reading lessons on The Night Bus Hero because the activities are good. Please do not forget it is our Jubilee party on Wednesday afternoon.
