Year 4 Weekly Highlights 13.5.22
It has bee another action-packed week in year 4 land. You name it, we've probably done it!
We have continued to read our current book for English, Marcy & the Riddle of the Sphinx, to help us to build precise and adventurous vocabulary, justify our predictions for what might happen next (did Marcy go into the Sphinx or did she back out?) and noticed many intricate details in the stunning illustrations.
Maths saw us progressing from fractions into using decimals and realising that they are in fact the same thing, just different ways of representing parts of a whole! We have been history detectives, finding out all about the Anglo Saxons and the conversion back to Christianity, plus we have discovered the organs of the digestive system and their functions. What an eclectic mix!
Today we have had our sports event, the biathlon, which saw us running, testing our reactions to grab a ball, and best of all cycling around the field!
