Year 4 Highlights 01.4.22
What another jam-packed week! The excitement for our Beowulf performance was bubbling as we shared out the parts, edited the base scripts with our own lines and stage directions, and eagerly began rehearsals. Our technical assistants have been trained to use sound effects and microphones, the warriors have been preparing their weaponry and the monsters have been making sure they are extra terrifying, ready for their performance next Wednesday afternoon.
In the rest of the curriculum, year 4 has been working super hard on their fractions learning, adding and subtracting them as well as playing with mixed numbers. They have delved into the Anglo Saxon period of British history, considering factors that made the Anglo Saxons come to Britain from northern Europe, and also begun exploring the origins of various herbs and spices in preparation for the next D&T unit. They have continued to enjoy a multi-sensory approach to practising spellings with playdoh and puzzles and braved the bizarre spring snow flurry in Games!
It's no wonder the term has gone so quickly with all of this going on and we can't wait to do it all again next week.
