Year 6 Weekly Highlights 18.10.24

This week in Year 6, we explored how buildings are adapted for earthquakes without eating the marshmallow bricks.  Our objective was to build the tallest and most stable building possible out of spaghetti and marshmellows. However, many did not achieve a stable once the Hiltingbury earthquake hit.

Using dialogue to advance the action and portray character, we have retold the story of Erika from her mother's point of view and the harrowing decision she had to make.

Complimenting our RE unit on peace, the children have connected with their inner self by taking part in yoga during PE. The children have enjoyed learning new yoga moves and focussing on their breathing.
