Well, Year 5 have been creative this week. The highlight of the week has to be DT, where we introduced to the children that we are making hats. They were treated to a visitor who works in a vintage shop and heard all about sustainability in the fashion industry. We then looked at hats by both making hats from newspaper in 15 minutes and then exploring hats and their properties to see if they were suitable for our key customer in our design brief. 
 

As well as this, we have further explored our project linked to English. We have started to look at plastic pollution and the book 'Plastic Sucks.' The children really enjoyed exploring this book and becoming experts in this topic ready for their writing next week. 
 

We can't quite believe that there are only 2 weeks to go and we still have so much more to go in our project.....
