Year 3 Weekly Highlights 11.11.24
As another week passes, there is lots to celebrate in Year 3!
Monday saw the start of our final book of our fairy tale unit - The Little Wooden Robot and the Log Princess. We had to piece together our predictions using a range of clues. Throughout the week, we have developed our summarising skill and have started to create character profiles of our two main characters, the Little Wooden Robot and the Log Princess.
In Geography, Year 3 have impressed us with their map drawing skills. By using technology, maps and pictures, the children all created an effective and detailed birds eye view map of Hiltingbury Lakes.
On Thursday, we celebrated World Mental Health Day. We all took time throughout the day to reflect on the importance of this and how we can all help each other. During the day, our Wellbeing ambassadors have been keeping an eye out for kindness as part of our kindness challenge. We have been collecting Minion stickers (to continue our theme of yellow) in class to celebrate our acts of kindness. We have also challenged the children to extend this beyond school.
On Monday next week (Alder and Willow) and Tuesday (Laurel), we have our library slot with Mrs Thomas - please remember to bring in library books so we can get them changed ahead of half term!
We hope you have a great weekend!
