Year 3 Weekly Highlights 19.1.24
Year 3 have been working their socks off this week with publishing their letters to the Giants in character as Greta. They have planned, edited and produced amazing final letters. We are so proud of their use of persuasive features and sentence structures in their letters and we know they are very proud of these too! Next week, we will begin our new writing unit on the Interview with the Tiger from our author visit!
In Geography, we have continued to explore features of the Coastline. This week, we used OS maps, clips and diagrams to label a range of features from cliffs and bays to arches and headlands.
As scientists, we were curious to unpick the vital organs and key bones in our bodies. We then questioned the role and function of our skeleton.
In Music, we have been exploring french pieces including Frère Jacques, unpicking the meaning of the song and the notes in the piece. We used notation to read and represent the notes before performing the piece on Glockenspiels.
We hope everyone keeps warm and has a restful weekend!
