Year 6 have had a great start to the term. Launching into our fantastic beasts English unit, we have magicked ourselves into the wizarding world and Newt Scamanders suitcase! The children have enjoyed reading the book, producing detailed sketches and exploring vocabulary to write a description of the Thunderbird. 

In maths, we have started the year with place value by reading, writing and representing numbers to 10 million. 

Venturing across to the air conditioned sports centre, we embarked on our new dance unit (taught by integrate) to learn steps to use in a creative motif to represent earthquakes and volcanoes. 

A reminder to complete Harry Potter consent form and if you have not already, please complete the photo/ google workspace and food consent forms. 
 

After a hot week, they all deserve a good restful weekend.
