Year 3 Weekly Highlights 25.5.23
How is it the end of Summer 1 already? We can't quite believe it but certainly are grateful for the better weather.
It was lovely to see so many of you at our School Community Day. A huge thank you in helping with milk bottles - we do hope the elephants will enjoy their new homes - as well as encouraging the children to dress up. Today we have learnt about India where we have made posters, or in 3BC's case a rap! about India. We also looked at Rangoli patterns too. It was a wonderful day and the children really enjoyed it.
We have worked hard to finish many of our topic: we have come to the end of our Iron Man reading unit which many children have shared has been their favourite so far; time in maths as well as a prove it on money and our art.
Next half term, we will continue to work on persuasive devices and use the book 'One Plastic Bag' and will continue to look at our work on animals in science. They summer 2 overview is live on the website for you have a look at.
Wishing you a restful half term. Don't forget the first Friday (9th June) back is non-uniform day. We ask you to 'bring a bottle' in preparation for the summer fayre.
