Year 3 Weekly Highlights 10.2.23
Happy half term and happy half way through year 3. We cannot believe that today marks half way through their first year with us at the junior school.
We cannot thank you all enough for all of your support with our DT unit this week. We were so grateful to have so many of you able to join us to celebrate the children's work. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. We are looking at opportunities to invite you back in again so watch this space!
In English, we have been working on our Just so stories. We have been able to show off our writing skills again this week by creating our own animals.
In maths we have finished our length and perimeter unit. The children have really had to use their ambition skills in this unit this week. It was certainly a little bit tricky so well done year 3 for continuing to have that can do attitude that we know you have.
We have also come to the end of our geography and RE units. The children have excelled using atlases and comparing regions with ours.
We have ended the term on a high - our wellbeing day planned by Mr Wright and Miss Loosemore. We have earned a new dance (check out our pictures!). We got to meet up with our year 5 partner classes to find our more about them. We have focused on 'making connections' and how we can value each other.
Wishing you all a safe and happy half term.
The Year 3 team :)
