This week in year 6 we've been doing DT for the first time. We’ve been designing our own steady hand game for our families and friends. We first drew our design on paper from the front and the side. Then we chose whether our net would be a cube or cuboid. After that we cut the paper out and stuck it onto cardboard so it would be more sturdy and last longer. When we finished making the cube or cuboid we bent the metal to whatever shape or design we had. After that we started to make our circuit by cutting the wire and taping it onto the metal so it would stay on the wire and it wouldn't just disconnect and on Thursday we are going to finish our circuit and test them so hopefully it would work. 

In Maths, we only did it for a short period of time so what we learnt was how to solve the area of triangles and parallelogram. 

In English, we started to plan and find words that show expression and planned how we were going to wright as the sea and how it was taking Cherry out to sea  

What all the children are looking forward to is receiving our hoodies on Friday and then the residential next week.
