We have had a wonderful week in year 3. 

We let the children know which flyers were chosen to go up to Sparks Ellison. You should have received an email to let you know if your child’s work was selected. We hope as many of you as possible will visit them over the course of the next week or so. I have included pictures of them below as well. 

In maths we have now completed our addition and subtraction unit. The children have had to used their ambition skills throughout this unit and we have been so impressed. In rockstars we have introduced division facts as well as multiplication. We know that this has been tricky and have focused on which strategies we can use to help us solve these. 

We are loving our Stone Age unit. We have just finished looking at the story of ‘The Stone Age Boy’ in English and have been loving the links with our prehistoric pottery and our History topic. 

Next week, we will be starting our multiplication and division unit in maths and looking at the story ‘How to wash a Woolly Mammoth’. We can’t wait to share our learning with you.
